How many people do you seat?
We seat up to 250 guests, with a minimum of 80.
What are The Sovereign's main features?
The Sovereign is a quality neo-classical wedding reception venue only six kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. A grand foyer with open fire place and antique furnishings leads into a simple but elegant and romantic open plan ballroom. Meticulous attention to detail and five-star service are our hallmarks.
How many rooms are available? Do you have a large dancefloor?
There is one room available for your exclusive use, with a generous dancefloor. Images of the venue are available in the photo gallery.
How long can the reception be?
Up to 6 hours.
What type of cuisine do you have? Can we sample the food?
The Sovereign offers five-star International cuisine. A sample menu is available on our Menu page, or more detailed menus are available to download with the Services package. Yes, you can sample the food.
Do you do buffet, cocktail weddings?
Yes, we do cater for buffet and cocktail weddings.
What is the cost per person?
This depends on the package chosen. Please see our Services package downloadable PDF, or contact us directly to discuss your needs.
Is there an additional Room Hire cost?
No, it is all inclusive in your package.
Are all decorations included in the price - e.g candelabras, chair covers etc?
Yes.
What deposit do you require to book a wedding? Do you hold tentative bookings?
A deposit of $1000 is required to book a wedding. We are not able to hold tentative bookings.
When can we view the reception venue?
We recommend an appointment. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time.
Can you recommend bands, photographers etc?
Yes we can. Please contact us directly.
Do you have a bridal suite?
